
Todd Handy − Principal Investigator
Todd completed his Ph.D. in psychology at UC-Davis in 1998 under the supervision of Ron Mangun, and then did a post-doc at Dartmouth College under the supervision of Mike Gazzaniga, before coming to UBC in 2003. His research interests are in the domains of attention, aging, mind wandering, misokinesia, and cognitive variability.
Alannah Wallace − PhD Student
Alannah studies the electrophysiology of the visual attention network and the use of behavioural strategies to optimize control of attention and/or compensate for stress on an executive system due to environmental and neurobiological factors.
Melanie Butt – PhD Student
Melanie studies daily cognition in young adults, particularly how variations in subjective cognitive complaints are intertwined with variations in mood. She received her B.A. in Cognitive Systems from UBC in 2020. In her spare time, Melanie enjoys cooking, crafting, and taking photos of nature.
